Caps up to 1.5 inches across; irregularly and spoon-shaped; zoned, buff-tan, brown, white; densely hirsute. Undersides brown with light margin; smooth.

Habitat:

Growing singly, and in overlapping clusters, from gaps in the bark on a fallen oak log in open area shaded by young trees.
