Chrysalis of a Common Crow/Oleander Butterfly

Euploea Core

Description:

Beautiful gold green pop. It was attached to the leaf. (Added the out of focus picture for the identification of the leaf) About 5 cm.

Habitat:

Garden in Phuket

Notes:

One of my children brought it to class. ( is that cheating?) They had found it in their garden and had many. We kept it to see what what come of it but it unfortunately did not survive.

It was that metallic looking in person. I did sharpen the picture later which might have it more metallic looking. I can not really see a difference myself.

Is it really that metallic looking in person? Or just a pic trick?

I think this could be a chrysalis from an Euploea sp., but I am not sure.
