Description:

Small dragonfly. Yellow and black stripes on thorax with yellowish-orange markings on the dorsal abdomen. Translucent wings with an amber patch.This species is quite variable in coloration. They are one of the only species that breed in salt water.

Habitat:

Meadow bordering temperate forest (salt-marsh habitat within the park as well). Gardiner County Park, New York.
