A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Acropora robusta
Low, branching colonies, with branches sprawling in all directions, some vertically, others horizontally and then turning upwards.
Found on coral and rocky reefs, usually in shallow water exposed to strong wave action, at depths of 3 to 15m. Widespread in the Indo-Pacific region.
Spotted this coral, which looks to be a newly-developing colony, at a depth of 10m.
