Capreolus capreolus
Cut and paste from wikipedia: "The European roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), also known as the western roe deer, chevreuil or just roe deer, is a Eurasian species of deer. It is relatively small, reddish and grey-brown, and well-adapted to cold environments."
They are common all over continental Europe, but missing on Ireland. In sweden they are breeding fast, and have become a traffic-issue. Or most likely, the traffic has become a deer-issue...
I could never become a deer-hunter, because I would just sit and watch them. They truly are adorable to look at. But, wheres there's plenty of roe deers, theres also plenty of tics. The footprint was about 5 cm's.
