Description:

medium sized owl that on the Oregon coast has pushed out the native spotted owl

Habitat:

edge of road in forested area - during the rain, they hide under the canopy at the edge of the road watching for prey

Notes:

One of the pair appears to be hybrid between the two species, but is usually out of range of my headlights
