Dacrymyces stillatus (Nees 1817) spores
This small orange jelly is abundant in the Bay Area, fruiting on the fallen branches and cones of Monterey pine (Pinus radiata). It can be distinguished from two other common jelly fungi, Dacrymyces palmatus and Tremella mesenterica by its smaller size and shape which is pulvinate (cushion-like), rather than convoluted and lobed. It is among the first fungi to appear after a rain, the dried, crust-like fruiting bodies quickly regaining their gelatinous texture. It sometimes can be found fruiting with Exidia glandulosa, Black Witches Butter

this are the pictures from the previously posted spotting ( http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/913... ), from under the microscope, not much and not good to see, however one (or 2) little special also in this spotting, this are microscope-picture from a magnification of min x10 -x 40. and still, there are little round structures which look like baby-snail-shells. I have no idea about them. Back to spores: Next time i find similiar specimen i will investigate them much further!! On the 1-2 picture is someting , which looks remotely like spores (round shape) , on the other picture are primary slime/jelly/gue to recognize!! :)
