Nature School For Teachers - Fall 2020 Launch! visit nature school

These common crows visit our place quite often. They have one problem: Cindy, our dog. She'll not let any other soul in and around the house other than us, the family! This crow is therefore practicing its balance on this, almost vertical stick, so that one day it can pounce on something and dash off! Even crows are not free of of more problems: this crow, for example, has its sight covered with cob-webs!

Great pics.. But the tail and the whiskers near the beak look like a Drongo's.. Also the behaviour you described(acrobatics etc) point to a Drongo.. Could be Crow-billed Drongo, not sure, but definitely not a Crow or Koel..

Thanks Antonio and mapplemoth66 for making it favourite.

Besides flying they can get into all sorts of gyms and acrobatics!

Ava T-B thanks for the comment.

JoshuaGSmith thanks for the effort. This is a hard-core mischievous common crow, and not a docile shy and sly Koel! The photos were actually meant to portray these characteristics of our ubiquitous friend/ foe! Thanks again.
