Very common tree around Uruguay. I just learned it belongs to the baobab family =) which I learned about reading "The little prince" but thought was imaginary...
Ok, Ceci, I will =); Vale, if you pay close attention at our trees you may still see some of this pink flowers on the "Palo borracho" trees; now, as they are decidious trees -those whose leaves fall-, they are about to fall and the pink flowers aren´t that pink nor nice but you can still see them...Today I took a picture at this point but I can´t upload it now... There is one of those trees in Propios street, around the school block, and around the city...Greetings
Thank you for the nice comment Manu; yes, the flowers are really beaultiful. We have quite a lot of "palo borrachos" around, but during winter they are bare, with no leaves so they don´t call our attention as much; now, you can still see some flowers on them. While you move around the city, try to see if you can spot a tree with pink flowers, if you can, probably that one is "palo borracho", good luck with your spotting and let me know if you could find one! =)
