Haliaeetus leucocephalus
This was actually spotted on the beach of the James River at Chippokes Plantation Park in Surry, VA. I can't get the location search function to change from my usual upload location of my home in Newport News VA.

Another hint - when editing the map click the little box in the top right corner to display it full screen and use the zoom buttons to resize it. With practice you can drop the pin to within 10 feet or less of the correct location.
Hi amie, and welcome to Project Noah.
To use the map go into "Edit this spotting", leave the search box empty and click and hold the pin with the left mouse button to drag it where you want. The search box only works on coordinates if you know the correct codes written like this: 39°40'50" N 0°40'29" W or this: 39.67 -0.67.
The full search function has to be paid for.
You have some nice pictures here, if you can crop them the subject will display larger. Our maximum display size is 1200 pixels for the first picture and 600 pixels for the others.
