Greater Short-horned Lizard

Phrynosoma hernandesi

Description:

The short-horned lizard is 4.5-12.4 cm in length and is a flat-bodied, squat lizard. Two rows of darker spots run down its back. They have one row of pointed scales running down each side. The color is gray, yellowish, or reddish-brown.

Habitat:

Dry grasslands and desert.

Notes:
