Description:

Wetland shrub, growing up to 1.5 meters. Requires seasonally wet soil, and grows along pond margins and swamps. Blooms from Spring to Fall. Related to the familiar medicinal St. John's Wort. This individual grows along Lake Flynn in the Violet Cury Nature Preserve.

Habitat:

Native to Southeastern United States, and is widespread throughout wetlands in Florida.
