Marks on a tree

Description:

I´m not sure, to which animal the marks belong. I think of a moth or a worm. Found that on a dead tree. I guess, it was an appletree

Habitat:

Found them on a tree at the hills surrounding my home village.

I´d agree, but as I read, that one is just on Pinales, that one was probaply an old apple tree, but for sure no pinale. So I´m not sure about the ID. Is that possible on broadleaf trees?
