Description:

Small tropical tree, up to 8m. Dry season deciduous. Brilliant trumpet shaped yellow flowers appear before the leaves in early Spring. Popular landscaping tree in warm regions.

Habitat:

Native to South America in Suriname, Brazil, eastern Bolivia, Peru, Paraguay, and northern Argentina. Grown in tropical and subtropical places for ornamental value.
