Green and white variegated evergreen trailing vine with purple flowers. In very shady areas, leaves can be completely white as shown in this series. Late winter bloomer and all parts are poisonous. "The leaves are opposite, nearly orbicular at the base of the stems and lanceolate at the apex, 3-9 cm long and 2-6 cm broad, glossy...leaves with a leathery texture and an entire but distinctly ciliate margin, and a hairy petiole 1-2 cm long. The flowers are hermaphrodite, axillary and solitary, violet-purple, 3-5 cm diameter, with a five-lobed corolla. Front yard in partial to full shade. It's aggressive and is taking over the ferns in the shade. This is not from this area so it was probably planted before we moved in ~10 yrs ago.
