Bubble Algae / Sea Pearl

Ventricaria ventricosa

Description:

A transparent orb that has suspended green particles in a clear liquid that has a flexible but tension-ed encasing.

Habitat:

Marine Washed up on the shore Floating in the water current

Notes:

I think it is biologic. I don't think it is a jellyfish more like an egg or a housing for juvenile somethings. Apparently it is an algae! Who knew! Thanks for the I.D. LivanEscudero

Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!

LivanEscudero, I think it could well be, there are mangroves in the estuary around the headland. Thanks for you help.

I believe it is one of the bubble algae that became detached and washed ashore. Like this:
