European Earwig

Forficula auricularia

Description:

A small male earwig, about 4 cm in size.

Habitat:

Found at the foot of a crag, this is one of the few earwigs I have seen in the nature; they are quite abundant in populated areas of Europe and North America living in humid basements and attics.
