White-faced Ibis

Description:

In the breeding time these birds have a glossy look of colors of burgundy and dark green. They will develop white around the eyes and part of the face. Non-breeding they lose some of the color and the white. Long neck and legs and long curved bill.

Habitat:

These migrate to the area of the central valley and find flooded fields or shallow ponds.
