Matted Bush-pea

Pultenaea pedunculata

Description:

A prostrate mat-forming shrub with single small pea flowers on slender stalks off secondary branches.The flowers were a bright yellow with red markings on the base of the standard petals. Leaves were narrow with needle tips (acicular) and margins recurved, giving them a tubular appearance. Young leaves were hairy and the more mature ones glossy.

Habitat:

Spotted in a regenerated area beside road- suburban , amongst a variety of native trees. A native to Australia

Notes:

Alhtough small, these were attractive. They come in various colours.
