Pardalotus punctatus
Females are similar to the males but have less-distinct markings.Paler in colour
Spotted Pardalote remains relatively common in urban areas that have a high density of eucalypts...which was surrounding the area we stayed . We watched both male and female daily to and from the nest, nest is an enlarged, lined chamber at the end of narrow tunnel, excavated in an earth bank.
Male - previous spotting.

They are total sweeties....watched them for the entire week , took SO many pictures of them , i am sure they where glad to see us leave . Always so busy back and forth to their nesting, darting away from wattle birds who dominated the massive eucalypt above the decking.
Sweeties. Another one I have never seen in the wild !
