Goldenrod Crab Spider

Misumena vatia

Description:

These spiders can change color to either yellow or white, depending on the color of the flower on which they are hunting. The female's body is 8-10 mm in length with a legspan of up to 20 mm. They do not spin webs, but are active ambush hunters waiting on a flower until a bee or other nectaring insect arrives.

Habitat:

Grasslands. They are often found on goldenrod blossoms where their excellent camouflage makes them very hard to see.

That meal should keep him going for a while!
You could also add this to the Hunters, & Arthropod Interactions missions.
