approximately 40 ft tall
This tree grows mostly in temperate climates. The Poplar tree is often found near the rivers, ponds and swamps.
When I posted the image it cut out some of the bottom of the tree. This is why you cant see all of it.

This looks like a cottonwood tree.
Get a couple of close up leaf pictures too if you can.
