Weird creature with weird eyes.
In long grasses under trees in a local nature reserve.
These strange animals are a type of grasshopper which mimic grass sheaths perfectly. The genus only has 3 known species all in eastern Australia.

Another great spotting ! Those eyes are amazing. Now to Qld for the other species.
