Gaura lindheimeri

Description:

Oenothera lindheimeri is a perennial herbaceous plant. 130 cm tall with flowers clustered at the top. Four white petals with long hairlike stamens. Also known as Lindheimer's beeblossom, white gaura, pink gaura, Lindheimer's clockweed.

Habitat:

Spotted in a roadside meadow next to a mixed forest at Lake Catherine State Park.

Notes:

The perennial plant is native to southern Louisiana and Texas.
