Zizula hylax
I submitted a spotting on 18 Feb this year, of a Lesser Grass Blue butterfly. I am hoping this one is the Dark grass blue as the spots are in a more uniforn U shape. Still have to find a Dark Grass Blue! Seems this one is a Tiny Grass Blue. Hmmm... Well it definitely was tiny!

thanks for the confirmation, Agnes...
Pam, you are right. Definitely a Tiny Grass Blue (Zizula hylax).
anyone know which of the Grass Blue's this is?
@StarLeaf, thanks for your help in ID-ing this butterfly. I am learning so much! The subspecies are so difficult to separate sometimes, it's bamboozeling... Thank goodness for people who know a lot more than me!
You're right on Tiny Grass Blue.
Both are subspecies of the genus Zizula, that's why it's easy to get confused as markings are so similar.
@ Star leaf, Couldn't find much on the Pygmy Grass Blue, and it didn't seem to be listed amongst the long list of butterflies from Tamil Nadu. But Tiny Grass Blue was there, and looked similar. Do you think they could be the same one with different names?

It looks like Pygmy Grass Blue - I think.
