Paurocotylis pila
tiny bright red puff ball like fungus about 1cm across. Hollow inside and had lots of small flies flying around it.
a great listen thanks Anna
So true Argybee, even on Antarctica. I heard this story on NPR yesterday http://www.npr.org/2012/03/06/148072123/...
That's interesting Clive. I sometimes think that although sapiens are responsible for considerable depletion of other life forms they are also causing the biggest life-churn this planet has seen by moving stuff all over.
Looks like a babybel cheese. edible?
I found another which was damaged and that had a white lining. http://karl.soop.org/English/gallND10.ht...I think that's what it is then. Thankyou Clive
