Pentatomid Bug

Commius elegans

Description:

This was a spectacular stink bug with a yellow pronotum and scutellum and a black heart-shaped pattern in the middle. Wings were black with a transverse line across . legs and antennae were black. The underside was white.

Habitat:

Spotted on a large leaved Acacia ( need to ID) in a nature reserve. Occurrence record: http://bie.ala.org.au/species/urn:lsid:b...

Martin. I forgot about my earlier spotting of eggs and nymphs on Cherry Ballart - I got the ID off you for them. Good to have the adult. I have cross-linked the spottings. Thanks.

I've noticed that they are usually on On Cherry Ballart (Exocarpos cupressiformis)
