Description:

elongated whitish plate-like structures with crusty-looking, velvety brown centres (pic #4). They seemed to start of as small discs and then join up.

Habitat:

Fallen branch of a silver birch tree

Notes:

It's a Stereum hirsutum - yellow/brown core, white edged, flattened growth on deadwood.
