Star Swertia

Swertia perennis

Description:

I don't find these often, but when I do find the right habitat I can find these in abundance. Some of these had four petals instead of five, and the plants I found with the four petal flowers often had more than one in the cluster that only had four. I wonder why some are more prone to this than others

Habitat:

Densely vegetated cape overlooking the ocean
