Loggerhead Sea Turtle

Description:

This is world largest hard shell turtle, this specimen about 1 m in length. Here observed in shallow waters of a bay, apparently a regular visitor - there also seem to be some sort of wound on its head, well seen in first pic.

Habitat:

This is common species in Adriatic sea, in Mediterranean environment. Observed in a quiet bay in Pelješac peninsula, swimming in shallow waters.
