female - aka Ground skimmer, Blue percher, Green-and-Blue skimmer, Little blue darter... this small dragonfly (*svl 29-32mm) usually perches on the ground and rarely flies above one metre.! mature male is pruinose blue and has blue eyes... abdomen is thin with the last three segments black while the anal appendages are white. female has pale greenish yellow markings on its black body while eyes are brown on top and yellow below.! immature males have the same colouration as females.! *svl > snout-to-vent length
