Quite the unique creature. It is the only turtle known to live in salt and brackish marshes within its range; with the exception of the common snapping turtle. They come in many patterns and colors from nearly white, to blue, to black.

Hey Josh! Just started following you, checking out your collection. This is a neat spotting! I'm in Missouri now and will soon me moving to the East coast, and look forward to seeing some of these terrapins myself.
