So, I don't think it actually goes in Nests, hives, bowers etc.

I don't think it's a hive. When hives get too full, a new, young queen flies away and a bunch of the workers go with her. While they're looking for a new place to build a hive they overnight in these tight clusters with the queen in the middle, then move on the next morning. I think that's what you have here.
