Description:

Very small bee, almost the size o a sweat bee, around 5 mm from head to abdomen. Orange. This photos were taken around 7:30 in the morning. Nest was in a cavity of a live tree Delonix regia or flamboyan an introduced tree from Madagascar. I am sorry that when a better camera came to my hands bees had gone.

Habitat:

It was in the garden of the Campus for Biological and agronomical sciences at Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan.

Notes:

20 km south from Merida City. Polinator is a very important part of biodiversity.
