Description:

Male. Predator diptera in the Asilidae family (Robberflies). This species has a marked sexual dimorphism. Males have black wings and black bodies while females present transparent wings and abdomen and legs orange-red coloured.

Habitat:

Alpine meadow above 1800 m. Parque Nacional de Sierra de Guadarrama
