Here's a more general fact sheet about the snails. They are native to western Europe but they're found all over the world. http://idtools.org/id/mollusc/factsheet.....

Yes, the picture I sent is from an Australian site, but tha genus is found in Europe, North America (in my yard in California), and Australia too. I only included the picture so you could compare the shell shape and height.

If you see the reference link you can see all snails in Europe, and some of them, Portugala inchoata and Elona quimperiana, are endemism where I live
