Unknown beetle

Description:

A small black beetle ( about 4 mm long) with short stiff hairs on the elytra. There appeared to be a smudged pale band across the elytra near the wing base. The pronotum was slightly convex with its posterior margin dipping along the midline between the elytra. This fine legs. Short antennae.

Habitat:

Spotted on wattle plant - suburban garden.

Notes:

Dermestidae ? Help with an ID would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
