In its native range it is widely distributed in sub-Saharan Africa and the southern Arabian Peninsula, preferring open woodland and savanna; it is largely absent from treeless places. The specimen shown here lives in Pairi Daiza, Belgium.

Haha! You cannot imagine how many are on the way yet. think that in Sep I was for almost 3 weeks all over California so I have spottings to post for the whole winter! ;-)
