Flat-backed Millipede

Orthomorpha coarctata

Description:

Small...may be two inches or so in length. Dark...black-chocolate in colour with bright yellow fringe. Scuttles along really fast.

Habitat:

Ground litter.

Notes:

Very common on Havelock Island. Also known as Asiomorpha coarctata

Could it be Orthomorpha coarctata (alternately known as Asiomorpha coarctata)? Thanks for correcting the fact that it is not a centipede. Paul Davis.

This is a species of Flat-backed Millipede--Polydesmida.I don't know exactly which species ,I'm afraid.
