A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
I photographed this colorful arthropod nearby a small river in small town named Selehleka town near Shire, Tigray Region of Ethiopia. I loved its color. I hope you will love it, too.
Please, update the ID. It took us quite a lot of time to find it out, so it would be nice if you could complete the ID as suggested, thanks!!
OK, we have an ID for this one, a lot of Tigers indeed, but at the end it is NOT a Cicindela but a Calomera sp.!
For all who made a plus, thanks for the confidence, but this time I was wrong!
Carabidae, Cicindelinae, Cicindelini, Cicindelina, Calomera albiguttata.
ID provided by Dr. Fabio Cassola, a Master of Cicindelinae! Grazie mille, Fabio!

"must" be a Cincindela sp. (or a synonym, if renamed), based on the location and amount of spots. Unfortunately there is no information about your area. Ethiopia is not easy to "locate": Africa? Arabian Peninsula? Israel/Egypt? Mediterranean? Magreb? I certainly now where Ethiopia exactly is, I have wonderful friends from there, btw., endemena or endemenesh?, but from the biogeographical point of view, I cannot tell for sure and we have to try to get some known information from the neighbourhood regions, like mentioned in my list. I try to get more...
Carabidae, Cicindelinae, Tiger Beetle. Unfortunately I cannot help you more. Nice one, Tiger from Tigray ;-)...
