European Red Fox

Vulpes vulpes

Since their introduction in the mid 1800's the Red Fox has spread across most of Australia.

Wandering alone in the bush can be quite suprising sometimes, especially when a lone fox jumps out of hiding not more than a metre away from you. I needed a moment for my heart to stop racing.
