Olive to brownish-gray body with a yellow belly and stripe on the face. Keeled scales.
Small stream under an old railroad trestle.
This species feeds almost exclusively on freshly molted crayfish so they are dependent on their food supply. Crayfish need fairly clean unpolluted water to survive as do the queensnakes.
