Fiddler crab

Description:

There were several small crabs in the mud of the mangle forest. They have one huge claw and a very tiny one. They could be the left or the right claw. They would run to their holes on the mud at the first sign of danger.

Habitat:

Mangle forest in the Sian Ka'an Biosphere reserve.

Great spotting! Looks like a fiddler crab (genus Uca)...not sure of the species though!
