@Emma: I'll keep you posted on the group tour. Would love to meet you in person! *Excited* @Karen: Thank you! @MayraSpringmann: I also had a picture on the same spot you were standing in your profile pic :) I love the Taj and India is simply beautiful!
Nopay, I own that book. Name any book related to lions. I have either read it or i own it! I just like to hear what the locals have to say. I have followed Christian to the very last detail. Still a sense of mystery around him.
Emma, the book "Born wild" by Tony Fitzjohn has information about Christian after he was released into the wild and how he fared there. It is a great book.
That sounds so good. Moving would be the right thing for me.One of my relatives had participated in a research program by National geographic. His gene were traced to 90 million years ago and his life began in the rift valley. I have read so many books on Africa. i no everything by heart!! My e-mail address for the past 10 years has been elsa.of.kenya@gmail.com elsa being the famous lioness. Keep me informed of the tours. Thnx so much!!
No, I'm an accounting lecturer in a university here (and take photos of birds during my spare time). But I've been posting a lot of photos in my Facebook page and now some friends (co-workers, professors, etc.) from California show serious interest to visit. I'm thinking of organizing a tour for them some time in October. They're flying from Los Angeles and one from San Francisco. You're very welcome to join. On another thought, why don't you just move here? LOL.
Do you do guided tours? I will happily pay you, like i would pay any agency. The safety factor is always a concern. One day for sure. I Dream Of Africa!!
I believe Meru National Park is in Kenya and I haven't been to any Kenyan parks. I live in the border or Arusha National Park here in Tanzania where there are plenty of giraffes, monkeys, and birds (no lion since they were moved to bigger parks). You should visit Ngorongoro Conservation especially if you have limited time for wildlife viewing. With Serengeti you have to stay there at least 3 days since the park is so huge. Tarangire is nice too if you love elephants. When do you plan to come over? Hope you could make it.
Wow ,you are so lucky! I really want to visit Elsa the lionesses grave in Meru Park. Have you heard anything about Christian the lion from the locals? Did he make it into the wild? Did Elsa the Lioness become a man eater,as rumour has it? i would love to come to kenya and visit Kenya, masaai Mara and Serengeti at least. Do you recommend any tours?
Hi, Emma:) No, I live in Arusha, Tanzania but I'm from Southern California. My US spottings are 1-2 years old. Just started taking real wildlife photos when I moved here 5 months ago.
Oh, thanks, Patty :) They're quite common in California especially when you go to rocky areas by the lake. Spotted this one in Lake Casitas and they're not very shy especially if you have food. This one is eating french fries :))
