tiger swallowtail

Papilio Glaucus

Description:

I was biking with my friend earlier last summer when I suddenly stopped because there was a caterpillar right in front of me. I got a shoe box and made a habitat for the caterpillar. I left it outside during the winter knowing that the caterpillar was ready for that. Later the next summer I was planting some flowers and I decided to check on the chrysalis. When I opened up the habitat I saw a beautiful tiger swallow butterfly drying their wings.

Habitat:

Leaves, sticks
