Gum Leafhoppers

Description:

I don't think I've seen this species before. They were very small. In pic 2 the black nymphs were about 1.5mm... the Yellow one in the middle was about 2mm. (Yellow !?) On the same branch but 60cm away was a more mature hopper about 4mm long (pic 1) That one might be a penultimate instar?

Habitat:

In the leaf axils of a planted eucalyptus in a local sports reserve.

Notes:

Yet to check for this species...
Order: Hemiptera
Suborder: Auchenorrhyncha
Infraorder: Cicadomorpha
Superfamily: Membracoidea
Family: Cicadellidae
