Sharpshooter (planthopper) nymph

Family Cicadellidae

Description:

When sucking the sap of plants, these planthopper ingest a quantity of sugar, that they can't process. Then, they eliminate that excess sugar in a urine like liquid that oxidises and hardens in contact with the air, forming that exquisite "tail".
