Yellow-washed Metarranthis

Description:

The moth had a yellowish hue in the lower third of the center of the wings.

Habitat:

We found it in the corner of the house on Isle of Palms, SC then let it go outside shortly after. It flew low to the ground and underneath the house decking.

When it flew under the deck it blended in with the dried live oak leaves on the ground.
