Description:

A large sculpin (not a true scorpion fish as the scientific name implies). It does have spines in its dorsal fin. It is a predator that uses its mottled colors to blend in with rocks and sand on the sea bed.

Habitat:

Rocky sea beds, kelp beds, and tide pools.
