Ursus arctors
The grizzly bear comes in different variations, it can be from black to light brown, but it is usually a dark shade of brown. They are 290-440 lbs for an average female and 400-790 lbs for an average adult male grizzly. The grizzlies are about 3-3.5 ft. tall in shoulder height and this specie ranges from 6-7 feet in length. Other species that shares the same environment as the grizzly bear are the american black bear(Ursus americanus), the asian black bear(Ursus thibetanus) and deers. Black bears and deers are in the same class. Grizzly bears have a symbiotic relationship with lice (parasitism), many grizzlies has lice and the lice feeds onto the bears by sucking their blood beneath their furs while these bears are now less healthy. This specie is able to live in the environment they live in because they have a warm thick coat of fur to keep them warm in cold winter while they are hibernating and they also have claws that allow them to hunt and eat food. This specie reproduces sexually, in the summer male and female grizzly bears will start to mate and until hibernation, females delay their embryos and the females will then have her cubs.
Grizzly bears are omnivores, they usually eat mammals of a bigger size like bisons, moose, elks, deers and caribou and they also eat many birds, fishes and plants like berries. Animals doesn't regularly eat grizzly bears but humans may hunt them and when they die decomposers will do their job. These bears lives in the forest and sometimes caves or dens.
